Finding Your Best Medicine

“A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” Proverbs 17:22

Attempting to discover what works for you individually can be a daunting task…….or it can be an adventure!

As we journey through life, it is important to do self inventory and attempt to discover what is the best medicine to help live life from physically to mentally. Every morning my routine starts before my feet hit the floor. My self inventory is quick and simple. And if you know me, and acronym is involved! So for the next five blogs, I will break it down. I start my day with PEARS…..

P ~ physically “how am I doing?”

E ~ emotionally “how am I doing?”

A ~ academically “do I need to research something today?”

R ~ relationships “anyone I need to prioritize?”

S ~ spirituality “when is my God time today?”

Depending on the answer, I make a game plan. I also reach out to my “go to people” if needed. For example, I might call my doctor, my oncologist, or my pharmacist to determine if options exist. If it is my chronic pain, I use my breathing strategy and begin my self talk…..

So let’s talk about the “P”…

Let’s face it, when we are in physical distress, it tends to effect the rest of us and some mornings, it would be better to stay in bed……cuz we won’t hurt……or hurt anyone in our path! Our ability to physical function freely with out barriers or pain, not only feels great, it truly creates chemicals in our brain to help us process the world around us.

Physical activity and sleep are the top two questions I ask people that walk into my practice. If they are limited on physical activity because of pain, we strategize ways to get that to change. If their sleep is poor, again we design a better sleep plan……physical wellness is the most important element to address no matter what you are dealing with…….and capturing what works is key.

If I start my day with physical pain, it has to be the first thing I address, or the rest of the day will be effected. I have discovered that with my Trüronia routine, I am having less pain, needing 80% less pain medications and physically I can last the entire day or hang with my teenage girls.

Over the years, I have tried numerous physical activities and numerous remedies to maintain a strong physical well being. Medication was always the last option. I grew up limiting doctor visits and trying home remedies……like whiskey and honey……for a cough (a grandmother remedy). Even in my mental health practice, I lean toward behavioral strategies opposed to using medication, however when cancer struck our house, I became hostage to medication that daily helped me function and fight the cancer. I really longed for a simple routine, but medication dictated my life. Then I found Trüronia. I am excited that physically I am doing well…….I know that I have found the right medicine for me…… “P” is doing well, how about you? If not, push through to find your right medicine so you can begin each day with this attitude “Bring it on, Lord, I am so ready!”

Trüronia has a new believer that falls into this physical well being blog……so excited to introduce Dave and Blanch from Alliance, Nebraska. Dave is a pharmacist who has placed Trüronia front and center for his customers to try. I love this because how often do we run to our pharmacist, showing them a rash or asking them for the right medicine and dosage……having them place their stamp of approval on this product just validates all that I believe and physically what I am experiencing…….I think that this is a solid testament to the benefits this juice can bring to someone’s well being.

Dave and Blanch have been married for 24 years and have five children and one grandchild. Dave has been a pharmacist for 25 years and four 1/2 years ago, bought his own pharmacy. This is a crazy busy family who are avid outdoorsy people, with the goal of maintaining a physical well being. They love to hunt, golf, camp and spend time as a family.

They pride themselves on providing a pharmacy that supports customers being proactive and focusing on taking care of their health. They chose Trüronia for the anti-oxidant features and have personally seen this juice help them minimize the illnesses that enter their own home.

“We are looking forward to seeing the long term effects it has on our customers and our own family as we have already seen short term benefits!” ~ Dave and Blanch Randolph

Until next time……remember you can not help anyone, if you are not ok……so tackle your physical health this week by finding the right medicine for you!
